From Jenny - 11 Jun at 15:56 Afternoon all! Following a recent increase in referrals for complex mental health clients, we have developed a protocol for dealing with them. Please have a read through of the attached. As you deal with lots of initial enquiries this is important to be aware of. In a nutshell, we'll do an FCA for mental health if we must, but we don't do ongoing treatment, and we actually want to avoid complex mental health clients - we don't have a team with the skills, or the safeguarding processes for our team to be dealing with these types of clients. The aim of this protocol is to ensure we are seeing the type of clients our practitioners are competent to see, while protecting their safety, and also maintaining good relationships with our referrers. This will mainly be covered through our BD team when they discuss our service offering, and the intake team when they process new referrals, but please all have a read in case you get your own enquiries in clinic.
