Dear valued provider,
We are taking this opportunity to provide a couple of key messages from the NIISQ Agency.
Service Approval update From February 2025, a Service Approval is issued when funding has been approved for the delivery of treatment, care and support to a NIISQ participant (replacing the former Purchase Orders). This has enabled alignment with a participant’s MyPlan, and efficient communication of service approvals and payment of invoices.
We value feedback that has been received from providers about the Service Approvals. As a result, we have made enhancements to our Service Approvals that will take effect from July 26, 2025. These enhancements will offer clarity for service providers regarding those treatment, care or support services which have been previously approved, and those which are new or amended services.
Honouring Service Approval rates The NIISQ Agency expects providers to honour rates in the current Service Approval (or open Purchase Order) for the duration of the Service Approval irrespective of whether the service approval dates cross a financial or calendar year. Providers may submit new rates for consideration by the NIISQ Agency when quoting for new treatment, care and support services or services which will commence after the current Service Approval’s end date.
